Don’t toss those obnoxious plastic bags!!

I know that everyone has a giant stash of plastic bags-don’t toss them out!! If you are a crocheter/knitter then I have good news- you can make plarn out of them! Yes, plarn. Hehe. It’s a little time consuming but I think it’ll be well worth the effort to make something practical!

Here’s an awesome step-by-step with photos to show you how to make it:

She also has fantastic patterns ย using plarn! (along with fantastic crochet patterns in general)

I’m going to start on a ball of plarn tonight-undecided as to what to make with it just yet haha but once I get a good amount I’m sure inspiration will come to me. I’m leaning towards making a mail holder so I can get my mail off my counter! ๐Ÿ˜€

Pictures will come once I have something to photograph.

Hello world!

Welcome to my blog! Here I’ll be talking about my adventurous life as a mum and how I try to make it a happy, healthy, and green life for my lil lady ๐Ÿ™‚

I”ll share links, patterns to things I’ve made/will make and ideas I would like to share with other green minded mommas (and dads too!)

I’ve always tried to live a green life since I was younger, so this new ‘eco chic’ movement agrees with me for the most part…I agree with the idea of lessening our impact and teaching our children to have respect for our earth and to take care of her…but I don’t necessarily think that one needs to spend X amount of cash to do so! I’m a rather thrifty mum myself, so I love finding ‘lean green’ ways of doing things ๐Ÿ˜‰

So read on, and hopefully I can help out the like minded green thinkers!
